Great sourdough - this small bakery really set the bar high. I wish one day they could consider making Danish sourdough rye bread. Pain au chocolat is delightful! And you dun need to pay a premium price to get a decent, authentic croissant (without the stupid pistachio or berry toppings). Having recently relocated from the neighboring French capital to London, I’m always disappointed with the sugary meals and cafes in London. This bakery is indeed a lifesaver. It’s worth making a detour.

I’ve been dropping by at weekends when I can for months now and everything I’ve tried has been fantastic. It’s a struggle to decide what to have - the pastries are all delicious as are the breads. I’d list my favourites but we’d be here a while! I love how much they care about the quality of their ingredients and it shows in their products. Always great customer service too! A real gem.

Went in today, ordered two Almond Bear Claws and they were honestly the freshest pastry’s I’ve ever had. The pastry was somehow how flaky but soft and the overall taste was stunning. They’re a little pricey but honestly well worth the money, would absolutely recommend.

Thank you so much for your kind review 😊 We are dedicated in making sure our products stay consistent and tasty which does drive up our costs of things as we like to make sure the ingredients we use are the best we can find. Thank you again for supporting our small bakery and loving our almond bear claws 🥐🤗

This bakery never misses! You can close your eyes and pick any random pastry or bread and it’s always a delicious surprise. I’m quite grateful that this small bakery is in the area and offers so much variety in flavors and creative new pastries. Maybe the only complaint or point that could be better is the opening times. It would be great if they had longer/earlier and later opening times. But of course I understand this is a small business and can’t open for 12 hours per day everyday. The price is of course slightly higher than mainstream places / chains but it is 100% worth it. Even the simple things like a plain butter croissant are delicious here. I tend to go often for any of their bread loafs.

Thank you M M for your very kind and thoughtful review! We are happy to hear that you love our pastries and bread. 😊 The team have all expressed that they would love to stay open for longer but as of right now it sadly would not be possible as we only have 3-4 of us working every day. We are however now opening slightly earlier (7:30 instead of 8:00) due to the lovely summer season 🥐 We always try to use the highest quality ingredients we can to make sure our products always stay tasty and delicious for our customers but it does impact our prices. Thank you for your continued support and understanding that we are a small independent business and being one of our regular customers ☺️

This isn’t the cheapest bakery around but it’s definitely worth it. The almond bear claw is perfection, and the main reason I keep returning. The cinnamon rolls & walnut tiger claws are also good but nothing on the almond bear claw (this might just be personal preference).

Amazing new little gem bakery in the heart of Canning Town. Sourdough bread and fresh pastries made daily. Couldn't walk away without picking some up. Hubby and I devoured the whole lot when we got home! The fruit custard danish were divine. The team there were so friendly and humble. Will be sure to return soon!

I've walked past this place, looking through the window for about a month. Today, I finally went in... and am now eating the yummiest Cinnamon Bun I've ever had! 😋 Great quality, worth the price 👌🏽

Stopped by here for the first time today despite living locally for a long time. The primo loaf is exceptional, and the pastries are delicious. Really glad to find a good local artisan baker, and will make this a regular stop Didn't have time to stop to order a coffee, but these looked popular too.

The sourdough loaf was one of the best sourdough taste in London. The pastries need better care with the layering but they were still quite delicious. An awesome start up that takes so much care in their products and they're very friendly. I'll definitely go back soon...
Owner response

Thank you for the review and I am glad you enjoyed the bread. Hopefully when we move into our new location in a few months we can work on the layering & proving the pastries more consistently. Thanks again for the feedback 🙂

The rosemary salt twist from Breadmeister Bakery in Canning Town, and it was absolutely spot on. Perfectly baked with a crisp, golden crust and a soft, airy inside. The balance of fragrant rosemary and just the right amount of salt made it seriously addictive—simple but done to perfection.

Very nice addition to the street and very good quality. Bought the custard based one and the quality was superb though considerably lot smaller than it seems on photos.

Thank you M for the great review. We are glad you enjoyed the Fruit Custard Danish. The photo was taken by another customer who wrote a review, so it may look bigger than in person. Apologies if this caused any confusion. Thanks again for your support 🙂

I stopped here on a whim with my fiancé to get out of the cold snag a pastry while doing it. Oh man were we pleasantly surprised! These pastries are superb! The sweet and tangy raspberry danish affected me the same way John Lennon’s Imagine must have affected people when it first came out. The crust! O the crust! It is flakier than a tinder date, but this time I’m happy for it. Needless to say, I’ll be back for more.

Thank you Rosemary for the fantastic review 😍 It is probably the best review we have received 🤩😎 It made the whole team laugh 🤭 We are so pleased you enjoyed the Fruit Custard Danish. Like with all pastries and baked goods, they are definitely the most flakiest and freshest in the morning. Thanks again for supporting our small bakery 😊
